Kia ora. Today I will be blog posting about athletics. On Tuesday the year 6, 7 and 8 student went out for athletics. The reason it was only these three years is because the little kids take a while and we don't get many turns. We were put in our house groups. I am in Karaka, we had to do discus. I don’t think I am good at discus. Do you think discus is your strength in athletics?

T-ball With KC
Kia ora! Hope you are having a very good week. We had our first T-ball lesson of term four. Before we started playing Whaea KC was introducing the rules to us. We got put into two teams, the team that I was in was fielding first. After we fielded we got to have a turn batting. If I had to choose if I could bat or field, I would choose to field. I learnt that if the ball comes off the T you still have to run to first base it does not matter how far it goes. I thought that T-ball was very enjoyable! Do you like T-ball, if you do what do you prefer fielding or batting?

Cricket with Neil
Kia ora, whoever is reading my blog post, I hope you are having a good day! On Wednesday the 21st of October 2020 we went out for a cricket lesson. Before we started practising the instructor was telling us where to hold the bat and how to hold the bat. When the instructor finished telling us that, we had to get with a buddy. My buddy was Dale. After we got into buddies, we had to go stand by the equipment and buddy one which was Dale got to do the batting first. I was the fielder, I had to try and catch the ball. After Dale hit the balls, it was my turn to hit the balls. It was fun because I got to whack the balls as hard as I wanted to! Have you ever tried to play cricket?
Sharing My Knowledge On Mood
Kia ora! Last week we did an activity about mood. We had three pictures and underneath each picture we had to think and write about how the person was feeling and what might have happened. I learnt that if there is a blue hue to the picture, it normally means that it is sad. We also had to think about what might happen but officially we couldn't get that wrong! There wasn't anything hard about the activity for me to be very honest. Would you like to do an activity about mood like I did?

Following The Kawa Of Care
Kia ora my name is Kai and I am year seven. Three weeks and one day ago I did my Kawa Of Care DLO. The Kawa Of Care is something that you have to follow if you buy a Chromebook from Paihia School. They are the rules of what you can and can’t do with your Chromebook. One thing you can’t do is go on inappropriate sites AT ALL, there are many more things but they’ll be explained in my DLO. One of the things you must do is be on the right site AT ALL TIMES. It was easy after I knew what to write down. Does your school follow the Kawa Of Care?
